When to use je - jij - jou?
"Jij"
Use "jij" when you need the emphatic form of the subject pronoun "you."
Example: Jij bent heel aardig. (You are very nice.)
"Je"
Use "je" as the unstressed form of the subject pronoun "you." (Unstressed form of"jij")
Example: Ben je moe? (Are you tired?)
"Je" can also mean "your"/"jouw" as an unstressed possessive pronoun.
Example: Waar is je boek? (Where is your book?)
"Jou"
Use "jou" when you need the object form of "you."
Example: Ik zie jou. (I see you.)
